Every time wool roving is carded, something small and magical happens. Tiny, soft, irregular fluffs break away from the fibre and gather like confetti after a celebration. Most would call them leftovers. We call them Wool Confetti.

 

These little neps are light as a cloud and full of character.

Each one is a tiny burst of colour, and together they create a speckled, textured look that smooth roving simply can’t give you. Scatter them over a wet felted landscape for wildflowers in a meadow, tuck them into art yarn for playful flecks of colour, or let little hands glue them onto paper and see what appears.
